What happens if I need a procedure that is not listed on the fee schedule?

Any services not listed on the fee schedule and performed by a general dentist are receive a 20% discount off of the dentist's usual fee. Orthodontia and services performed by specialty dentists receive a 20% discount off the dentist's usual fee.

Can I go to any dentist?

How do I know if my dentist participates in the Delta Dental Patient Direct network?

You can ask your dentist if he or she participates in the Patient Direct network in Illinois or check the Patient Direct Dentist Search.

Who is eligible?

Illinois individuals and families who don't have dental insurance are eligible. Dependents up to age 26 are eligible (please note: Illinois individuals can choose to enroll a dependent only, but annual membership fee must be made by an Illinois resident 18 years or older.)

Is there a waiting period?

No. There are no waiting periods associated with Patient Direct, but members and their eligible dependents must receive dental services from a dentist who participates in the Delta Dental Patient Direct network in Illinois.
